The MPC60 was the first MPC ever released, it's widely accepted as the greatest MPC and drum machine ever made. It definately isn't the cheapest, probably the second most expensive after an MPC4000. I know DJ Premier still uses one. The MPD's are midi controllers, you can't load samples into them, they are used to control software like FL Studio, and are a fraction of the price of an MPC. They are also similar to the M Audio Trigger Finger.

MPC60 was the first mpc ever. The cheapest is the 500, but it lacks on features. The MPD is a midi controller to control the sounds from your computer. I'd suggest getting a used MPC 1000, for around $650.

you might have a point, but 3,900 actual vinyl records would cost you thousands of dollars, while with this drive you get the same amount for way less than that. Hip hop samples from everything....not just vinyl.

with mp3, cuz it's not pro to make that, but the CD quality is exelent and when you extract music from it, you can choose the highest quality...
So what's the differences with vinyl? Just cracks and pops (like you can hear with first primo and mobb deep beats) and samples that sounds "older and true"?
