Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath Planet Caravan. This is my first time using Windows Movie Maker. A collection of photos I thought showed the atmosphere of the song. Enjoy.
We sail through endless skies
Stars shine like eyes
The black night sighs
The moon in silver trees
Falls down in tears
Light of the night
The earth, a purple blaze
Of sapphire haze
In orbit always
While down below the trees
Bathed in cool breeze
Silver starlight breaks down the night
And so we pass on by the crimson eye
Of great God mars
As we travel the universe

So unearthly and beautiful. This has to be one of the best songs there is. I would love to hear more songs like or at least nearly similar to this.
So far i have:
-Solitude by Black Sabbath
-Set the controls for the heart of the sun by
Pink Floyd
-Jail by Down

Yes, i've heard Pantera's version. It's cool but I really like the original. To me this version has a certain Trippiness (<--??..lol) that the other version comes close to but just doesnt have. I like both though. Thanks for the suggestions but there has to be more.

try some hendrix like "It's too bad" or "machine gun" they're kinda trippy sounding or pink floyd's "dogs" has some parts. got that mellow feel like this song. Also i think "No quarter" by Zeppelin has a similar feel to it.

actually thats totally false. pantera is one of the best metal bands ever. no they obviously arent as good as sabbath but they are still legends in thier own right. they have one of the greatest guitarists evr who is in the rock walk right next to ozzy (went there and saw it) so no...they will not be forgotten in five. years...not even 37 years. stop talkin shit about what you no nothing about

After seeing these *comments* I had to check out Pantera's version. I am not a Pantera fan but they did a masterful job with a tribute of a great song by a great band they admire and were inspired by. Let's not waste time with inane and unsubstantiated flaming.

I did hear this one first but I agree Pantera's is better. Although I have always liked this one too. Darrells guitar is alot more profound in my opinion.

"dreamer / deceiver" by judas priest. more intense maybe but a metal ballad space travel kind of theme to it. it has a more gothic elegance than trippy i'd say though, but pretty trippy i guess.

Pantera's rendition is excellent but it doesn't beat the original by a long shot. God, I love this song.
