berliita: Those are the four years (to our knowledge) that the electoral college has Trumped the popular vote. Of course, superdelegates ( a term most had never heard of until now) just Trumped the popular vote in the democratic primaries.

The U.S.A. was founded as a REPUBLIC not a democracy, but operating on democratic principles. Each state with it's sovereign rights, independent nations representing it's citizens closely. This was to insure that the central government (represented by the minority)could not dictate to the states(represented by the majority-"the people") individual rights and liberties.
Benjamin Franklin when asked what type of goverment had they created? "A republic if they can keep it."

Your vote counts. You have to vote with your dollars. Buy made-in-USA. Buy alternative media from independent studios, and small record labels. Sell/trade any DVDs and CDs you have from the big 6 media conglomerates. Don't use myspace or IGN which are owned by Fox. Don't even look at a trailer to their movies. Use Stopbigmedia and RIAARadar to help research

Your vote does count. What decides who gets the electoral votes in each state is the POPULAR VOTE. So if California has one more person vote democrat than republican, that means that all of the electoral votes go to the Democrats. FROM THIS EXAMPLE I HOPE YOU MAY REALIZE THAT YOUR VOTE IN YOUR OWN STATE DOES COUNT!!!!!!!!!!

Why did you film this in a bathroom? Hiding from your parents. Oh, and Bush did not get the most electoral votes, the Supreme Court intervened and ruled Bush as President. Also, most states now give the popular vote choice to the Electors, a silly process, but it does deflate your argument somewhat.

A democracy could vote indirectly, meaning that they could vote for an electoral college thing however they would have to vote that electoral college in at one point. As far as I know our electoral college is selected, not elected so that does actually make us a Republic not a democracy. Good video.

The problem with America is NOT the fact that thier vote does not count. The problem is the missenformation of the American public by the media. and the fact that they are stupid and they vote against thier own self interst and to corperation. They do not hold thier congressmen accountable. so no they should vote and just try to be more connected with what is acually going on and not get thier info from ABC CBS NBS or even PBS BBC. I blame the media and the laziness of the people
