I disagree with you on the second part.
But yeah...South Park is more like something you watch when you're 10 cause you know you're not supposed to.
Family Guy is something you start watching around in high school cause you're a little more "mature" and aware of the world, so understand all the jokes, the stupid ones and the "smarter" ones.
But Family Guy just basically has better quality comedy than South Park really.
I still like SP I just find Family Guy better (and my favorite)

In south park you would never say something like "i'd fuck this character" or "that charcater reminds me of this person I know" or "yeah i've seen people do that all the time"
South Park is just kinda "stupid" funny.
And I notice even when SP does a "smart" joke, most people dont even get it.
I guess SP knows that their audience is young people who dont know alot yet, so thats where they aim their jokes.

But there are still exceptions...both are hilarious, I personally just like Family Guy more.
cause sometimes South Park does things just to shock and offend conservative people on purpose, and with Family Guy its not exactly like that.
its more like...you're learning and you dont realize it.
a lot of Family Guy episodes do that.
most episodes have a liberal kinda view and South Park just wants to piss people off, not really tell people what they think about stuff.
