yes, "White Rabbit" is based on the works of Charles Dodgson (pen name Lewis Carroll). there are rumors he'd taken mushrooms.
not psilocybes, which were--at the time--unknown except amongst indigenous people of the Americas. maybe the toxic amanita muscaria?
these might be mythical conjectures, based on the books' surreal images. hard to imagine the shy stuttering mathematician experimenting on his own brain.

Jefferson Airplane---1965-1974 and again in 89, so we're all right in some form. Couldn't agree more about the drugs being cheaper in the 80's, too much now. Still, the 80's sucked.
