I'm getting this phone in a few days, and I have a question. I have no desire to use the music player, so will that help with the weak battery when I'm making calls? (I heard the battery lasts about 2 hours during a call.)

If you never use the internet browser, call customer service and have them deactivate the internet, it saves battery. plus, if you charge your phone every night battery is not a problem. i text and talk all day and my battery lasts just fine.

this phone is horrible!! i was on the phone for about an hour with my friend, and it died. it had full battery before. samsung a737 is better phone, and a better price.

I've had it since January, the battery life if for crap. I can go about a day on the battery and I ave to charge it again. [But I'm a big time texter] The reception isn't bad all the time. The outside screen scratches EASILY! And the camera absolutely sucks. Not to mention the buttons on the side, the PTT and the volume control, the silver paint comes off and they turn pink! I promise, you don't want this phone.

Crappy phone. Get any phone but this phone. Since the day I got it, it has been randomly shutting off, draining the battery. I also text a lot with the phone. I have turned my phone on at 8 AM and the battery is dead by 9 PM. Sometimes, it shuts off 10 times a day, and it has turned itself off so much, whenever I turn it back on, it freezes. I brought it in to get it replaced since I have the warranty, but they blamed it on water damage, and to replace it was $115!

yea this isnt the greatest phone...the battery life is bad, but my charger that came with the phone broke and i got a new one. and with the new one it seems to last longer. but you cant play with it too much if you want the battery to last. only use when you need to. but mine has lasted through lots of things. i went mudding and got stuck in a river and my phone was in for about 5 minutes in my pocket and it still works fine. ive dropped it countless times too.

Notice he can barely get through the review without running out of charge.
It's the Achilles heel of an otherwise better-than-average phone.
Fire up a game and you'll be dead in less than about 15 minutes.
The battery life is the worst I have ever seen.
Not for power-users but fine for light users.

I thought it was a good & cool phone, i was about to buy it but i also heard heard about the battery draining out too fast. can you tell me if that's true since you've got that mobile?

This phone is really good, it's good soft keyboard with big buttons, bright screen, good sound quality, nice theming options which you can download from the net for free and decent web browser. However, battery does drain out really fast, even if you set it only in GMS mode. I don't generally talk much, so it lasts about 3 days if speaking ~30 minutes a day. on heavy usage you will need to charge every 2 days or even everyday... It's a pity, cause it's a really epic fold phone!

to tell you the truth i hate calling & speaking. i just only send messages, listen music or play games sometimes. however i don't use it that much. i don't mind charge it everyday, i only want to have battery on mobile when i'm out in one day! btw thanks alot for the info :D!i think i'll probably buy it. i only want a nokia phone, 6555 seems the only perfect & comfortable mobile of all the nokias'!

No problem, you are welcome anytime. BTW, some tips:
1. Adjust the equalizer to more bass and treble if you want to get a nice sound quality. It sounds awful at high sound levels, but at lower levels it sounds really great. BTW, ringing tone will also sound depending on equalizer, so it's not only music that it makes change to.
2. google "zedge" and download some themes. those are free and usually changes default interface into beautiful one with flash clock, animations and stuff

yeah, if you have a memory card and adapter you just plug it into your SD card drive and sync your files to your computer. If you have nowhere to stick the SD card on your pc, then buy the USB cable and plug it inand sync to pc.

i did go with the memory card option, but im having trouble. i cant upload the videos on my phone onto windows movie maker because they "are not a supported file type" (the're "3gpp" btw. idk i've never heard of that)
