You know, the point ... ( 1 year ago by MaluGorga)
You know, the point is not the number of stem cells... The point is: research IS NEEDED. It doesn't matter if there are a zillion or one embryo that can be used, it counts.
With research, the process can evolve, so more embryos can survive, and more stem cells can be obtained for more research.
Cells reproduce. So, with one cell, you can have as many as you want, as long as you give it good conditions to do so.

So these are clips from your video productions in Michigan I pressume.
Only a NON SCIENTIST would give such emphasis to one single paper as conclusive "proof."
Where is the non-biased information on how embryonic stem cell line creation has experienced great technical growth and the proceedure is more efficient???
A reflection on the ... ( 1 year ago by WayCurious)
A reflection on the 400,000 clinic embryos appropriately starts at the study from which the number comes, especially when it is the only one to survey all US clinics and is confirmed by CDC results (and a variety of other studies). I welcome any evidence you have that the few clinic embryos available for research (fewer still as the industry moves towards natural IVF) will be sufficient for the needs of researchers at today's level of technology.

Pro - It's been about 10 years since John Hopkins Med Institutions isolated the Embryonic Stem Cell. Since that time there has been no positive research development coming from Embryonic Stem Cells. However, as I have stated many times, there has been lots of positive research development coming from Adult Stem Cell Research. Lets put our research $ in this area so we can help patients, now.

LOL
Actually it was at the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN, MADISON that human embryonic stem cells were first isolated.
No positive developments? You mean like curing paralysis and 1 type of blindness in animal models?

Pro - We're both right about the isolation of the Embryonic Stem Cell in the United States. It was a team from the University of Wisconsin and John Hopkins Medical.
Compare and contrast the successes of the Adult Stem Cell Research vs the Embryonic Stem Cell Research. At my last count there are more than "70" successes in ASCR and "0" successes with ESCR. ESCR has however produced some nice tumors. Again, let's put our research money where it can help people now.
