I'm 28 too. To answer your question, some national law enforcement association didn't like the association the show had with cops. Being it was called "COPS". So thats why it was taken off the air. When it reappeared, it was called "Cyber Cops". Which honestly, ruins it.
Since the name change, they have no marketed any action figures or anything else. Its just been in sydication and you Do see it once in awhile. Not sure where but I know I caught it somewhere last year. Great Memory.

I couldn't recall the title to this show. I searched cartoon cops and there it was. Like many cartoons then, I would watch this & then go outside & play, pretending to be characters from the show with my friends then. I first searched laughing hyena because that was the only character name I remembered.

The Intro's animation was Anime Quality. To bad the show did'nt look cop this look. I mean is so fluidly animated that Hardtop Facial expression when Badvibes smashes his top's lid in is so realistic. Nice show. I wish there was a place on t.v. for this again.

HOLY FKN SHTTT!! I just stumbled onto this and totally remember this show!!!! Forgot all about it till just now and was right there with him when he says "fighting crime...in the future time" and when he says "it's crime fighting time". I love the shot toward the end when they catch the criminals and the C.O.P.S. are all standing there with the wind blowing. Great animation looking back on it. I remember the names Longarm, Ms.Demenor, Dr. Badvibes and Big Boss. I'd love to see more.
