Isn't S&P the same company that originally gave the AAA ratings to what are now "junk status" CDO's due to the subprime fallout? Why on earth would people still trust these guys for advice? Atleast Moody's a couple of months ago had the courage to come out forthright and say that even T-bills should be getting junk status right now, but now they are being bullied into changing how they rate munis. Paulson made it clear today that we should see more bullying of ratings companies & thus more lies.

So the fed bailed out the mortgage companies, and took those loans as "collateral". Even if the Fedral reserve owns it, the "Taxpayer" does not own it, since the fedral reserve is a private bank. Get it ?
