And the problem is not that Geradine said that the Blacks where voting for Barack, it is that the rest of her statement implied that Blacks would vote for any black candidate rather or not they are qualified. This is the problem, maybe you can't see this because you aren't black; but this implies that we are ignorant and don't "know any better" when following a politician who looks like us. This implies that we need someone to tell us when we are being shafted and can't think for ourselves.

I thank you for pointing out that whites and women have voted alike; but why didn't Geradine say that? Why didn't she say "just like women are voting for hillary because she is a woman"; because she doesn't believe that. History doesn't lie; her comments about Jesse Jackson coupled with Bills camparison of Barack and Jackson doesn't excuse away this notion of racism. You may be too close to see it, but I feel it and I can't deny it anymore - "our first black president" has shed his skin.

As for this whole white man, black man message comment - have you looked at the states that Bill Carried in 1992 and 1996; Blacks voted for him in overwhelming numbers. He was running on a platform of changing the way that Washington did business. Now unless I mised something, Bill isn't black.
And your comment about not faulting us for voting for Barack is recieved well. Blacks are glad to have the graciousness of a white male telling us its okay to vote for someone we like.

Bro I will leave you with this, your comment is the exact reason why there is such an undertone of racism, because people think by degrading the vote of blacks that somehow they are telling the truth.
You said that Barack doesn't have a message that appeals to blacks, how do you know that? You aren't black, how many blacks do you talk to?

I think you are a little off. I understand how he looks like he is against hilary, but he's not. He is commenting on her lack of taking care of this matter. What that woman said was inaporite and hilary should have let people know by telling them that is'nt what she feels. The only reason everyone has so much to say about hilary is because she has been around, she has a lot more dirt on her and they are having a hard time finding bad shit to say about obama.

I welcome the day we have a deserving woman in the white house as president, but after the way she has conducted her campaign, I will not vote for hillary if she gets then nom. I will go third party.
finally, even as u mock and critique olbermann, u seem to be imitating his style (somewhat poorly). but I do commend u for taking the time and formulating ur thoughts and being in the mix.

I gotta say......I absolutely agree with you. People never want to step back, out of there emotions, and look at something intelligently. And everyone knows that Keith is totally in the tank for Obama, has been for quite a while. I love the way there was absolutely no outrage for the sexist portrayals of Hillary in the media. The lady was blatantly racist, and honestly? Hillary clinton's been throwing every hateful statement through her campaign plannings to shoot down Obama since she realized she was falling behind him. The only reason it appears that he's supporting Obama is because he's being truthful, and by rights and reason Obama is the only good Democratic candidate out there with a chance at the presidency. What you and Ferraro said was racist. To say that Obama is "who" he is today because he is "black" is the height of racism. To disregard all of his accomplishments and talents as little more than the product of the sympathy of white liberals is beyond offensive. You seem completely unaware of your own hypocracy
Dividing voters by skin color is introducing the issue of race & thereby starting the race baiting. If it doesn't matter then it doesn't matter. The only reason to focus on it is to belittle the support of a minority vote as if plenty of people don't vote for the white candidate simply because she's white. It's a can of worms that only serves to scare the majority race to fear the vote of the minority
Why not discuss if Hillary were a man?
