Casio are toys with lots of gimmicky stuff that will go wrong. Get a Yamaha, Roland, or Korg and even the lowest models will blow away Crapio.

If casio made Uber ... ( 3 months ago by Nismology5)
If casio made Uber all ass kicking expensive synths, no-one would buy them because of the brand, they would rather have a big korg logo on the back for all to see. I learned on an ancient casiotone ct and now have a casio wk-3800 (not bad for the price and you can thrash some very decent sounds out of it)
Must admit that I wish that I could afford a nord lead though, and I am about to buy a microkorg
Casio Keyboards are ... ( 2 months ago by YamaKorg)
Casio Keyboards are awesome. Yes, they're not for professional use although you may remember the Casio FZ1 pretty advanced synth/sampler for it's time. I will always have a special place for Casio as I learned on one as a kid. I have a Korg Triton studio, M1, Roland JD990 and a Yamaha Motif ES6 and I still find myself tooling around and having fun on my Kid's Casio! Long Live Casio!!
You are SO right! ... ( 2 months ago by Organiston26th)
You are SO right! 25 years ago, Christmastime 1982, I bought a Casio MT-40 and that was it! Later it was an MT-70, after that a RadioShack Moog(!)... then in 3/86 I bought what I'd dreamed of since age 6... my first HAMMOND ORGAN, soon followed by a LESLIE! Still got the M-100/Leslie, but now a Korg CX-3 (v.2) sits atop it... also have a MiniMoog, MicroKORG and more. And it all started with that 22-key Casio. As a kid I always loved keyboards, but played flute; as a teen, classical guitar.

I must admit. Before I bought my Casio CT-470 I tested Yahama keyboards of the same price level. And in comparison the Yahama sounds like a toy with cheap sounds. But that was in 1991. So I do not know if Yahama nowadays are improved, equivalent or better than Casio. For me the string and synth sounds (used to play Gary Numan) are of focus.

Yes, I have a Yamaha YPT-400 (PSR-E403) as well. The only problem is that it doesn't have great synth sounds like the LK-300TV.
