You can't compare Wooten and King. It's two different styles. Wooten is the best at what his doing, and King is best in his thing.

Every single solo Mark plays has lines from about 4 or 5 songs for the fans to recognise and appreciate. He is undoubtedly the best bass player in the world. He has been for 30 years. Vic Wooten is really good but Mark is on a different planet.

Ps, Nathan King deserves a mention too. Those who bring up nepotism should reconsider. We all love Boon but he's a shit hot guitarist in his own right. He spoke to us after the Glasgow gig on sunday for at least 20 mins and he is a top guy.

you shoud check out vics a show of hands album. some of his best stuff on there. people think hes just all slap but naw man. Vic has got some crazy melodic stuff that a lot of bass players dont. He's got the slap technique but theres more to it than that

yes THIS is "so sh*t", it's not 80's, it's not level 42, it's mark king and some lame studio musicians. But the real band is some of the best stuff not of just the 80's but of all time.
