I am going to learn to play the guitar because of this song it is so beautiful.I will always be grateful for his talent. I only discovered him by chance this year....he is amazing and his music is magical.The world must have been mad not to recognise his talent, it does'nt surprise me though.Thanks for the video I love it.

What about Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" or Radiohead's "How to Disappear Completely"? I wouldn't say either of those are better than River Man but I think they are in the same company.

well ill tell u right now its not easy finding out how to play his songs not only because its so obscure (sadly) but its always in diffrent tunings which makes it tough to figure it out by your self

I have been listening to nick drake for years, but kinda drifted away from him. THis is the first time I have listened t river man in awhile and i cant stop listening to it, just over and over. Check out the album Rustin man by Beth gibbons and the lead singer from talk TAlk they do a song called drake that is gorgeous
