It's a scandal the New Orleans Bingo Show! isn't an international sensation. But when it comes to great music, New Orleans has an embarrassment of riches.

Rest in peace, Mr. John Brunious. Somehow, it's appropriate that this video is one long coffee delivery to him.

I start to tear up every goddamn time I watch this. It makes me remember the good times, gives me hope for better times, and helps me realize this crazy town defies time.
Yellow Fever, fires, wars, and hurricanes...We've faced it all... but the music never stops, and it never will.

This is a fantastic video, and as others say, bring back lovely memories. I see old friends (shannon) old neighbours (clint) old haunts...and the fact that nola has a great bike culture. ( I was the first female delivery girl in the quarters..!!!!) Such sincerity, and essence of what new orleans is. Miss it terribly, in our new life in Austin. My only critique is that you know he would have locked his bike up!!!!
Thank you for portraying "our' new orleans.

Lunch at Fiorella's then down French Market Place and (the wrong way) up Ursuline to the first left up Decatur, chuck a left up to the Riverview and do the loop and then back down Decatur (the wrong way again), hang a left up Dumaine, shag it 4 blocks up and hang another left on Dauphine, go two blocks down and swing a right on St. Peters to Preservation Hall.
Goddamn Clint no wonder the frickin chicken from Fiorella's is always frickin cold !!!
"Times are not good ... ( 2 weeks ago by KwautLizard)
"Times are not good here. The city is crumbling into ashes. It has been buried under taxes and frauds and maladministraions so that it has become a study for archaeologists . ..but it is better to live here in sackcloth and ashes than to own the whole state of Ohio."
- Lafcadio Hearn (aka Koizumi Yakumo, 小泉八雲?)
from Inventing New Orleans
