The notes don't come faster, the chart just scrolls faster, thus they are more spread out, making it easier to read, which is why so many people use it. If you pressed a certain combination of buttons on a song without hyperspeed on, the result would be the same as if you had the exact same button presses on the same song with hyperspeed on. Hope that helped.
