Tommy Rall was one of Hollywood's top dansers, unfortunately underated, and not given enough credit for his work. He appeared in many MGM musicals.

You're always on top of things; Thank You! Mr. Rall will always be to me, the epitome of Hollywood's dancers in the '50s. His entire persona, fine actor, and amazing dancer make me shiver! Makes one wonder what MGM, etc. were thinking about his career? As ever, my thanks for your kind remarks.

Can we hope soon for a special tribute to the great dancer Tommy Rall by Indigo1045 with a multi-sample or collection of some of his work ?
He is still alive and may respond personally to our appreciation for his great art.

I once wrote to Mr. Rall about 20 years ago and he responded with a very nice letter. Yes, he was probably the best dancer Hollywood ever produced, but he came at the end of the musical era, and the studio system collapsed not long after this movie was made. He was a hit on Broadway with "Milk and Honey" and appeared with Barbra Steisand in a cameo in "Funny Girl", among other notable performances. He could sing opera, act, and choreograph as well.I hope he knows how much he was appreciated.

I wasn't alive when this movie was made but it's one of the classical feature films that I enjoy.
It's a shame that they don't make movies like this, let alone this innocent anymore.
