I really want to watch the film.
I was given a paper topic on Alice Munro's "The Bear Came Over the Mountain" and while I was searching for some secondary sources, I came across this film. It seems pretty interesting although I must say it seems a tad different from the short story itself.

My Grandma died of Alzheimer's on October 19th, 2007 - I just started watching this movie tonight, and it's breaking my heart, but also teaching me what my Grandpa had to go through. He's still here, and is still pretty broken. He was her caretaker mostly. I came up to find the trailer to send to my Aunt so she could see it. It is so far, an incredible movie. And Julie Christie is a gorgeous woman, and an absolutely AMAZING actress, her Mother also died of Alzheimers. Rest In Peace Mema!! Luv u!

i liked this movie mainly because it was through the eyes of the husband since women are usually the caregivers. He had to deal with her slipping away and not cut and run and find a bimbo. Instead he stayed.
It was by far one of the top 3 movies of all time that is Canadian. Kleenex made a few cents off me. Or I think it could have been scotties or Royale...
