i grew up with this band. probably one of the last groups my parents go into before they stopped listeing to new music.
yeah, they pretty much stopped after grunge...
ha ha
but anyway, i think zach's bush rant at coachella was a bit better but eh, whatever.

I can get interested in Zach's rants and lyrics a bit more just because they are so specific and well articulated. I know it's not the case with Eddie Vedder because he's a wonderful and intelligent person but bland generalizations like "George Bush find another home" just reek on mainstream Bush bashing artists that are uninformed and just riding the band wagon for popularity. This one kind of falls flat for me but I still have all kinds of respect for Eddie Vedder.

yeah, ive seen pearl jam twice, one of the times being Lolla '07, and havent gotten the "It's Ok" outro, but i own the PJ Touring Band 2000 DVD, and i believe its on there. its pretty amazing

Yes, we have many Bush haters here. This performance supports the notion of "Shut up and sing." Conservative or liberal, I do not want to hear the political views of any artist. Eddie is extremely talented. However, his liberal rants are too predictable and spoil the performance. Check out PJ unplugged for his views on abortion. We are blessed that his mother did not choose to abort him. Stand in line behind the Dixie Chicks who won numerous awards just for being Bush haters.
