This is the first Unico movie.
"Unico is a young unicorn who has the ability to make people around him happy. Whether it's because of his personality or the power in his horn, it angers the gods, who think only they should decide whether people are happy.
They tell the West Wind to take Unico and abandon him on the Hill of Oblivion, but instead she tries to hide him from the gods. Realizing the betrayal, they send the Night Wind to finish the job, forcing the West Wind to continually hide him."

was The Fantastic Adventures of Unico ever released on DVD? I want to buy the 2 movies.
I just got the asterix and obilex 12 tasks on dvd... Classic!
Anyway, 2 vhs on ebay, but vhs is weak.
Even if i could get this on beta, that would work.

Unico is a boy. If you think he sounds like a girl in English, you should listen to his Japanese VA. Over there, they tend to use females to voice young kids, regardless of gender.
He isn't meant to be genderless. He's just young and very cheerful. Unico does act more masculine when he's around a girl, though. Especially Katy.

fretless, it was indeed released on dvd, granted it wasn't easy to find nor did it come cheap, but i have them both, dubbed in english, hello kitty put them out. 1 came from london, i think i bought the only copies of either in the world.

Those DVDs were released by PanMedia -- a bootlegging group. Higher quality than typical, but still bootlegging. They claim public-domain, although most of their DVDs are questionable on that.
PanMedia videos are rarely remastered and usually of poor quality. Thanks for taking the time to check your own sources.
