DICK IS THE king!! "JIM FULLER is THE "GODFATHER OF SURF GUITAR" lead guitar of the Surfaris . I have seen "Godfather Fuller" at those Surfrider events they call him the Godfather.. love them both it would be cool to see them both playing together !!!

Jim Fuller {Godfather} lead guitar of the Surfaris took surf another notch ...beyond Dick..Thoses wild uninhibited guitar leads of Jim's and drum fills wrote a new book for rock and rollv.. Hendrix took it from there..

I must agree The Surfaris did indeed move the surfin' music sound ahead and helped cross into the mainstream hits. But even today Dick still plays gigs. He not only can play the guitar but is very accomplished many other instruments.

So do many of the others Chanteys, Surfaris Beach Boys,Ventures still gig ..Dick played the Horns on Misirlou.. Fuller is a great bluesman and surf guitar.. Heck the Beach Boys did alot..!

Was this shot at Gabe's Oasis in Iowa city, IA!? If so then I was there. I only ask because of the exit to the rear of the stage and the stickers plastered everywhere!
