Homage to Jochen Rindt, the only one Formula 1 Champion, who won his title after his death in the Year 1970. Parts of this video have been taken at the "Ennstal-Classics 2005" at Groebming, Austria.
Emerson Fittipaldi driving Jochens original Lotus 49C, which was the winning car at the F1 Grand Prix Monaco 1970.

Incidentally, I just did some research about Earl Grant, and to my astonishment on the 10th of June he died in a car crash in Lordsburg, New Mexico, USA the same year Jochen Rindt died, 1970.!!

It's only fitting that the great Emerson Fittipaldi would be the one to drive Jochen Rindt's winning car at the Ennstal-Classics. They were teammates during that fateful year (1970) and were good friends up until the death of Rindt. It was also Fittipaldi who helped secure Rindt's posthumous title as Formula One Champion. Great video tribute, helschinki!

Bambootscha: Rindt had German parents, but he spent his whole life in Autria, and if you ever heard him talk, that's the best proof he was 100% Austrian and 0% German. As a German, you will know what I mean;). He always insisted on being Austrian, not German.

Gänsehaut pur. Emmo fährt Jochens 49er ! Ich denke an Monaco 1970 die letzte Runde. Er war mein grosses Idol (bin Jahrgang 1956) und ich kann mich noch daran erinnern als die tragische Nachricht aus Monza im Fernsehen kam. Und die Musik. Ein Traum !
Jochen, du bist von uns gegangen, aber vergessen werde ich dich nie.
PS: Wer weiß welchen 49er Emmo gefahren hat. In welchem Rennen fuhr in Jochen ?
