Haloid: Apocalypse Edition
Uploaded by: CodenameArmageddon
Video Description:
No offense to Mr. Oum (the maker of this excellent movie) or Don Davis, (the composer of the Matrix films) but I, for one, am getting sick and tired of hearing that "Burly Brawl" track that I've heard in dozens of other video submissions. There a whole world of great music out there that remains untapped and people seem more comfortable using music that is more recognizable and mainstream.
This video, "Haloid", was the final straw. If you're going to put that much effort into a Machinima animation, then devoting a little more effort into finding new and exciting music ain't that hard.
Seeing as how dozens of other YouTube members have already submitted this movie to the site, I'm sure Mr. Oum wouldn't mind if I tweak it a little bit.
If you want to know where this music is from, you're going to have to sit the whole thing out and watch the end credits. Enjoy!

You're pathetic.
"Actually I happened to see that one time and I applaud the effort. It's an impressive work.
"I for one haven't spent much time on the web when it comes to amv's and flash movies. I had no idea that the burly brawl was overused at all. At least though instead of just complaining about it like everyone else you went and did something about it.

He liked my music choices, so what the fuck do I care if everyone else doesn't?
It's a very simple answer really.
It's called "Artistic License". I'm sure you've practiced it yourself when you've made some or all of your own videos.
The music change also reflects my own preferences. Don Davis and Brian Tyler are both in the same genre, but I was sick of hearing "Burly Brawl" and I came across several new themes I felt would replace it well, it's a simple as that.
This was an excerpt from a private Note between me and him on deviantART. (Google "Monty Oum" and "deviantART") I know him there.
Seeing as you have no other ways to attack me (or nothing original to say) I suggest you quit while you're ahead, lest you make a bigger fool of yourself.
My other video here seems to do well without your meddling given I created it. In these chats, I've noticed you take pride in all your creations and the fanbase you earned.
I suggest you follow my example and not take this YouTube business seriously and have a normal life outside. Life's too short to waste away in front of a monitor.
Good day.
It's been a while that I've seen a comment on YouTube that was intelligent and worth reading. Many people who saw Haloid bitched about the music, so after some time of experimenting with my own collection, I settled on these themes. But it seems people can't be satisfied with ANY music with this video.
Yeah, when the Master Chick was revealed, I was irked as well. For one point in time, I was afraid of competition for my HvM movie and he got away with that ending?
I agree with you on the Burly Brawl track. It's on every 9th music video out there. You'd think people would get sick of the song don't you think?
Like with Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin, People are using it too much it's gonna get old.
"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" is not only the name of the soundtrack album by Brian Tyler, but also the name of the track that I used from it to make "Haloid: AE"
It's quite good and I would recommend it to other people, along with the composer's latest work, "War", which I also used in my latest video.
Ugh, don't get me started with "Blow Me Away." -_-;
but still like the burly brawl
mainly because its a bit obvious he animated around the music. but still i do get your point
burly brawl is used a lot
and in most case's not very well
haloid isnt one of those case's tho
BUUTTTTT its a awesome remix also lieking that u can put it in high quality cause i couldn't see master chief holding that machine gun in the orginal so yea ^.-
