Also remember that C. Numb was a David Gilmour song written for his 1978 solo album, but used it on the wall instead. Prob. there most known song. It did not change much, just some of the lyrics.

I think your right. Some Gilmour fans just can't give any credit to RW - even tho clearly he was overall the biggest influence on PF and the quality of writing on The Final Cut proves the point..

Absolutely 100% agree with you. The depth of Floyds music was Waters. His composition structure and lyrical content were what made up the core of the most memorible PF albums. Gilmour may have a slighty better sense of melody and his voice and guitar playing are gorgeous beyond words, but I'm with the Waters camp for the long run.The loss of Water's influence was immediate in the albums following his departure. You can listen to and tell the differance after Waters left. Still good, but not as.
Waters is amasing ... ( 3 weeks ago by EFCthebest)
Waters is amasing commentator on the major events in the world. Final Cut album & esp this song, gives an insight into Falklands war, emotions andviews of people at the time. He tells itin a way that nobody else can. Although, maybe not PFs biggest seller,Final Cuts quality shows and the stories it tells are as relevant today as they were back in the 70s.Its this unique ability plus superb arrangm'ts that was missing from the post RW Floyd.Final Cut doesn't sound dated unlike Div Bell& Mom'Lapse.
