this is bad ass
why does lamer stuff like "turbine squirrel suit", 4-engine wing, or Red Bull unpowered wing more attention than this?
all of that requires being launch from altitude.
being able to takeoff from the ground and gaining altitude has always been a major obstacle since it's a trade off between the speed to gain lift which required propulsion which added weight which affected the first two.

What sort of engine does this use and how much fuel would it burn? Do you get much flight time at all? I'd imagine the power/weight ratio would be quite low, but it's clearly got enough guts to launch that guy!
I'd love to get a little jet engine like that to play around with. I bet they're worth an arm and a leg though :(

the engine type is a nimbus H80 but older model, thrust 90lb but limited to about 70 otherwise it would be too much.
fuel burn is 1 lt/min at full power
