Can someone explain to me - a 55 year old ex hippie type dude - what are the lyrics meaning? Their musicianship is great (I sang lead in rock bands and play rhythem guitar so I know 'good' when I hear it, but why the anger / blood etc? Anti-society? I can understand that but... I just don't get it. Maybe I'm not suppossed to eh? 'response would be welcomed.

My guess:
The song is sung from Satan's viewpoint, to an extent. 'Give your soul to me for eternity' is a reference to committing suicide, so David Draiman the lead singer and writer, can be reunited with his girlfriend, Devan, who committed suicide.
The blood is because I guess Satan is interested in blood. Same with the anger or whatever.
Does that help the song make any sense? Maybe you can figure out the rest from that. Thats just my interpretation though.

David said that she was a heroin addict and she was actually pretty mentally ill because of the heroin. She died of a heroin overdose I think at a club and David found out by one of his buddies I believe the next morning. He was in a somewhat complicated relationship with her when it all happened.
