Oh, you must be a silly teenager or 20-something. In the original story, Khan was in his 30's when he was placed on the Botany Bay. Sinc ehis character was in his 30's in "1996," that woul dmake him th eage of us kids watching the show. We were all born in the late-1950's-early 1960's.

Interesting. When Nimoy was interviewed for a British docu on ST nearly 20 years later he admitted for the 1st time that he was glad when the original series ended because the quality of the scripts had declined.

if i see that death scene, it always makes me sad...and my throat hurt, if i watch that scene here i want to see the movie again, and forget all the shows that came after that call themselfs ''Star trek'' and makes me want to forget Kirk's death in that TNG movie. this has hart, that era feels cold.

I remember for real. I also remember, when Kirk first came to the window, and called out his name..Spock gets up, and STRAIGHTENS HIS UNIFORM. Do you remember the audience chuckling at this? Non Star Trek fans couldn't understand the laughter on such a sad scene. But that was SO Spock. He's dying..and he straightens his uniform. It's little touches sometimes that make Star Trek characters so magical and special. When he walked into the glass, that's when the crying started for real. Powerful.
