Rep. Kucinich to Dem. Leadership: "Stand Up" to Pres. Bush

On Oct. 10, 2007, Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) demanded that the Democratic leadership "stand up" to President George W. Bush, with respect to ending the illegal and immoral war in Iraq. He underscored how the Democrats won the election in 2006 by promising the American people that they would end the war if they gained control of the U.S. Congress. Rep. Kucinich, in taking sharp exception to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's views on ending the conflict, said: "You don't need another vote...another Bill to end this war. There is money available today to bring the troops home...There are men and women [our troops] dying right now [in Iraq]...This was a war based on lies..." He added that a "similar path of lies" are being laid to take the country into a war with Iran. Rep. I agree that the dems are nuts even considering HC, BO, or JE -especially
when they have Kucinich. But dems are often chicken-shits and they are just "too" afraid that K can't win. So they would rather us all loose and vote for a war monger sell-out like HC. AS FOR RON PAUL he is a racist bastard and that happens to offend me a GREAT DEAL! He is good on a hand full of issues and a nightmare on everything else!!!!!!!
Listening to him speak fired me up. I don't know about you but we need someone like that who can make us confident that we can change. Every other candidate has this fluffy talk with nothing behind it about change. I'm through with that kind of crap.
