Je suis d'accord avec toi, Leonard Cohen m'a donnèe la fortune d'ouvrir mon coeur à beaucoup des bonnes choses dans la vie et, par countre, l'attitude "messianique" et "utopic" n'est pas seulment une attribution de cet phenomenal écrivent de une roman comme "Beautiful Lusers" mais la verité de trouver un troubadour francophone dans les yeux de toute l'humanite (todos somos Suzanne). Cohen is performing anew dans le Montreal Jazz Festival.

This is at a festival on the Isle of Wight (an island 3 miles off the south coast of Britain) in August 1970. Other acts at the festival included: Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Kris Kristofferson, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis, The Who, Moody Blues, Taste(!), Supertramp, Joni Mitchell and Free....Sounds like quite the line-up eh? If only we got gigs like that today..

I was there and stayed awake for the early hours performances which gave them an even rarer and special feel in memory. I was up on the hill, and only went in the arena once. it felt freer than the year before where going for food or whatever was like an expedition. at the 70 one they kept coming round telling people to take their tents down, but no one did. leaving on monday morning felt a bit sad and desolate, as if the best was behind us.

yes I saw the doors, which was one of the highlights for me though people dont rate the performance. there were so many good acts, including cohen, melanie, even tiny tim (?) there s a really good doors tribute band called: the doors alive playing in the uk that I would recommend to anyone.
