As much as I love Will Smith and wish he had never died, this ending makes absolutely no sense. Even if the alpha-male had gotten back the alpha-female, they would still be hungry. It's not a "Oh! You gave me back my girl! Let's not kill you!" Plus, Will and Anna falling for each other? Yeah, no. Honestly I perfer the other ending. I chose explosives and death over sappy ending any day.

Well I believe that something went crazy. This should be the most coherent ending. Since I saw the movie, I always noticed 2 terrible holes: 1) there is no following to the fact that the male came out to the light because his female was kidnapped. Strange isn't it, they dare exiting to the light but they don't get a darn about the female zombie there 2) the doctory analyze the reaction of the zombies coming out to the sun as "final loss of humanity". Well that is nonsense. It's the opposite!
