Nah, it's definitely mimed. No-one can come in straight on the first note like that with no count, and they didn't have in ear monitoring in those days as far as I'm aware. Still, this song is absolutely awesome, and Larry Graham is still freakin' badass!

CLASSIC nice post!! yeah this was their last album as GCS. I could feel the energy dissapearing. Warner brothers contractorial demands. PF went out like that also, coked up speed although I thought Larry did not touch the shit. I never liked soul train lipsyncing, but they were the history of RB,Funk & Soul. GCS is one of my favorites though.
