"you definitely don't know anything about economics. Lower taxes put more money in people's pockets, which in turn creates more spending" I live in South side Chicago. My mother works two jobs and my dad has a job too. I am still waiting for that money to "trickle down" maybe we were right and it never will. Maybe when rich people save money they don't spend it but instead put it in the bank. More jobs weren't made, corporations took their factories overseas, (sweatshops) to make more money.

I agree with you on your last point. Our manufacturing base has been wiped out in this country by the last two administrations (and congress). All we have to do on that is put tariffs on goods coming into this country so businesses would be better off leaving their factories here. But never think that the government knows how to spend your money better than you. the reason we are in this mess today is because our government is out of control (spending). We need much less spending.

Is this satire? Reagan tripled the national debt and increased the per-capita number of government employees. In domestic affairs he was a federal statist, and in foreign affairs an interventionist terrorist.

What about his massive tax cuts that led to the Surplus under Bill Clinton?
The only reason why the debt increased by the way is because we were outspending Russia in weapon and space development something Reagan said he would do.
So if Reagan said he was going to cut taxes ( a tax cut doesn't mean the elimination of taxes) which he did. Combat Communism. which he did. and re-tool the military, which he did. How was he a bad president if he did everything that he said he was going to do?

He was a bad President and bad man because he murdered and maimed countless people in Latin America, he gave arms to Iran and was corrupt, he enriched the military-industrial complex, and tripled the national debt while gutting humanitarian aid domestically.
The Clinton surpluses were not due to tax cuts but the dismantling of part of the military after the Cold War. The surpluses would have been even larger but for the tax cuts.

If you don't believe in cospiracy theories than remember that R.R was only a man and didn't like details. He was an actor not a superb administrator.

I personally respect R.R, because I truly believe he was a good guy in his own heart and was right about general ideas. Anyway, he was not a specialist. The same thing I'd say about Ron Paul - he is a very nice man, maybe even quite more intelligent and educated than R.R. And I think it's all about - the head of the state must be a general thinker, not obsessively attached to only one field. The only problem is he has to find good advisors. ;)

The fucking taxes? Give me a fucking break! They make so much goddamn money they could pay a 99% tax every time they inhale air, and still have 16 times more money than me and you make in a year. God forbid you pay a fair wage to people and try to contribute to the country. The corporations are greedy. The gov. is at fault, not because of the taxes but because they won't hold these people accountable and won't get rid of NAFTA.

They are accountable for providing us with the abomination of a system we call NAFTA. They are also accountable for the shitty living conditions abroad (sweatshops and shitty working conditions abroad including China, Indonesia, Mexico, Africa, the Middle East, and many other places) they are accountable for the unemployment rates in the black communities and in the U.S. in general. They are accountable for the lack of consumer protection. A lot more but I only have 500 characters.
