I know what you mean, I've started to think of avant-garde and experimental music as just that: experiments. I know they are fundamentally different styles, but its easier for me to think of such music as long examples of possiblilities.
First of all, the reason people leave disparaging comments on music videos is because they have an open mind and like to listen to new music. If we like what we hear we listen to more. If we do not, we use the handy comment feature to express our dislike. I see nasty comments on music videos I enjoy, but I do not insult the poster even when the comment is ridiculous and offensive.
The upshot of all of this is that she is not as technical or innovative as everyone claims she is. I prefer other artists with greater skill and innovation, which is a legitimate claim that does not make her less of a musician.
Innovation is a question of opinion, though I strongly disagree with you there.
Thanks for conducting the critique with respect.
i still love her though, a few ingots here and there make me smile every time.
but still at the 10th time of listening I love it
Just listen to the music. It doesn't always have to be about how goddamn well it was composed or how "technical" it is.
