Pretty sure it isn't - if you have the money you can register your kid.
AC Milan has taken an interest in Australian football players and are keen to help develop the game here for their own good. I think it is sanctioned by the Football Federation of Australia.

Firstly, by AFFORD i meant it in the literall sense. It doesn't cost thousands of dollars.
Secondly, the cost of living in in Sydney is rising dramatically, so it's not surprising if a young family couldnt afford to send their 7yo there.

no... they have the same thing for MAnchester over in holland though they dont have scouts here... ive been to both Ac milan and Man Utd they dont scout you.. though the Milan one i had to go to sweden as well lol

Then you should check out AJAX! That's football education!
Even though i must say that Standard de Liege is also doing quite good now, as well Club Brugge who just started with Henk Mariman!
