Hmmm...so because I happen to speak French you come to the conclusion that I am French...Bravo you inbred waste of skin. Any wonder the rest of the world wrongly thinks all Americans are idiots. Sadly it's people like you who give the rest of the world the wrong assumption that all Americans are are dumb as you are. Incidently, English is not the only language I speak, you sack of shit. I take offense when an individual spews insults whilst generalizing. I would have responded to any rant about women, Jews, blacks, or homosexuals, or any other group that has ever been discriminated against, as a matter of course. It's wrong and it needs to stop. I am using the process of formulating general concepts by abstracting common properties of instances. The generalization fits. And it doesn't just apply to France's shameful behavior during WWII. I would also point out France's brutal treatment of African countries. As well as it's current policy of liberal-appeasement toward terrorists. So why is it wrong to criticize France?

Generalizations, by definition are inherently wrong. They do not, and cannot, represent an entire population based on what a segment of the population may have done. The Vichy regime was shameful and that fact cannot be disputed, but to say that ALL Frenchmen subscribed to the policies of Petain and his band of collaborators is an insult to French resistance members. No one's excusing the treatment of N. Africans anymore than America's treatment of slaves. Sarkozy is a hawk, not a dove...

No, actually I am mostly French-Canadian descent! My last name is very French.
Example: Blind people aren't very good painters or crippled children aren't good at basketball. These are not absolute truths, but the statements are mostly true. So are they generalizations or stereotypes? There are a few kick-ass blind painters, just like a few French fought in the resistance. But over-all the French give up too easy, they had Canada once didn't they?
