Anyone who is interested in the things that influenced Lost should look into the graphic novel Watchmen. The situation in this video is very similar to the one that influences the "villain" in the comic. Increasing nuclear tensions between America and the Soviet Union force both Adrian Veidt and the Dharma Initiative to look into preventing armageddon. Both are very "ends justify the means". Considering the end of Watchmen, what will the end result of Dharma's experiments be?
