The Crazy 2K Tour was announced in December 1999 as Britney Spears' fourth United States single, "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart," was being released. The tour was a continuation of her summer 1999 ...Baby One More Time Tour, for which Spears performed at theaters, state fairs, and amusement parks. The stage set-up from the Crazy 2K Tour echoed the setting for the previous tour, though two ramps on either side of the stage, an elevator, and a video screen were new additions to the set. For this tour, Britney had hired new dancers and made the show more elaborate with the addition of fire special effects. This would be Spears' first time playing 10,000- to 15,000-seat arenas.
