I find it kind of ironic that the top-selling single is about a christian holiday and it was written by a Jewish man, Irving Berlin. Just goes to show you that Christmas brings everyone together no matter what race/religion/class.

Are you serious!? I should think he loved singing this song. And this "kyke" as you call him has written songs like "cheek to cheek" "There's no business like show business" "Puttin on the Ritz" "Steppin out with my baby" and "God Bless America". And those are only a few of his greats. Irving Berlin worked with Bing, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Ginger Rogers, and Ethel Merman. It's a shame that you judge someone's music by their religion.

Actually, if I remember correctly, he had a hard time punishing them. He'd take them out for ice cream or a movie and Dixie/Kathryn would get mad. He just didn't have the heart, at least according to other people. I personally cannot see that man as a bad father considering all my mother and I have read, and I think Gary just wanted the money as many children of stars do, and in doing so, essentially rubbed his father out of existence. A truth I find very very sad.

Oh, GOD, this subject. Bing, big bad Bing, the George Bush of his era...Irving Belrin may not have been like other WWII era icons (Bugs Bunny, Cole porter, Katherine Hepburn, Sinatra, Stan Kenton), but that was what pople wanted (Belrin), especially in the middle west. Enjoy the music! Happy Holiday is another Irving Berlin original. I mean, Fuck bush is bad, please, Fuck Bing" statements should be PUT TO REST! Bing';s PUNISHMENT was of a DIFFERENT ERA!!!!

If you read the comment, you know it wasn't against Mr. Crosby. (Where did Berlin come into this?) I adore his music, anything he did was amazing. (Hush-a-bye is a personal favorite) However I was simply stating what others had said about him that contradicted the book. *shrugs* I find it very tragic that Gary basically destroyed the endurance of Bing's memory. That's the problem; Kids today know Sinatra, but not Bing, who I personally believe was better. All because of that one statment.

Kinda like Mickey Mouse versus Bugs Bunny as I suggested, though both and Bing were patriotic, while legend has it Sinatra was not that popular with a number of GI's..
It's actually a case also of Bing's laid bakc style and many other things, tohugh.
