You know, there were some performances that completely blew me away, and this was not one of them. However, in going back and revisiting a few times, I've liked it more and more. I have enormous appreciation for every choice he's made. I guess it's a great artist who leaves that kind of lasting impression, and keeps the fans hanging on for that next step.

Everyone has their own style. OLP has theirs, and if David Archuleta or Daughtry or anyone else were to sing Time of My Life I doubt it would be even as close as DC's. DC is an amazing singing and neither DC or OLP is the better voice, they just have different styles and different songs they are destined to sing and stick with.
David Cook = Sexy, Awesome, Incredible, Talented
If I had time, I'd list every word I think describes him. But I just don't.

dear god, this guy blows. he totally butchered this song with his shitty pitch in the beginning. he was instantly doomed. i mean, damn. he should have left this song alone.

I don't think this was meant to be his best, but to make people think. It was done from the heart more than anything and people DO remember this performance. His "pompous" white jacket sold for $5000.00 at a cancer fund raiser in Texas!

Personally, I feel David Cook didn't do the song justice. I absolutely love Our Lady Piece, it is most played on my ipod. The songs are absolutely beautiful. I was excited to hear that Cook was going to make an attempt at it. But I just didn't feel it. He's a good performer but singing wise I prefer David A. Not because he's 'good looking' but because I find his voice soulful.
Cooks "give back" message was epic. :)
