| Space-time can bend, time can not. Are you familiar with the expression; there's no present, only recent past and coming future? There's also no way that time as in events happening could ever REVERSE for example. Space-time could bend, but it can only bring two physical locations closer together that would otherwise take a lot of time to get to, it doesn't change time itself. There isn't actually 'time', it's only there for reference, so we can deal with the concept of movement. |

| Gravity is ASSUMED to be caused by time, but only because we can understand movement when we see events happening in time. The real cause of gravity is because space-time is dynamic, this in itself may actually have zero to do with time. Again, time is only useful because it's inevitably the only way for us to understand and detect all that in terms of reference. |

| Nobody really knows. All we can say with certainty is that time appears to be a property of the universe we live in and that it progresses at a rate dependant on the velocity relative to an observer. Anything else is speculation at present. Also "bring 2 objects closer to each other" concept is true. Time would not exist if we travel threw space time. it would be considered skipping threw time forward. |
