The tape is slightly thicker than the U-channel, you're basically squeezing the u-channel between the window and tape

Hey dude i made one with clear plexi glass i might have to glue the u-channel though... i used a jigsaw to cut the plexi glass i might post a video idk but im almost done with the project lol and i cut a hole in the side of the case with a reqular drill i didnt use the rotary tool but it was fun and easy.

Thankyou for posting this video up those months ago!! You mentioned some handy tips for when I got around to doing mine.
Didn't end up using a jigsaw on the case, just the perspex (couln't find a decent blade, see..). Ended up using an angle-grinder (which made it looked rushed in some points). But all-in-all, did an decent job. Thanks a million!

Being resourceful is what modding is all about too, if I didn't have a particular tool, I'd ask a relative or good neighbor if I could borrow theirs.

I tried this with my steel case using a dremel, and I will never again... The cutting wheels kept breaking, even the reinforced ones. I had to apply oil to get the job done.
