It is funny that some of the most safest equipment in a car are the airbag and seat belt. In which where you can get side swiped and have to get your hip replaced when wearing a seat belt and an airbag can break your neck. Hmm... but being safe is key.

Always talking crap about "THAT CAR CAN ONLY GO IN A SRAIGHT LINE!" Makes you seem like a fucking idiot. That argument sounds so stupid in my head it confuses me. The argument is a mute point. There are cars that go in straight lines, And cars made to go around corners. End of Story. One person can say "my car turns corners better" and the other could say "my car is faster" It all comes down to what you like.

LOL did I see a Vantage badge on that thing he is driving? That thing is a DB7 Vantage, not an inline 6 DB7. It's engine isn't old, and it is a V12 from 2 Ford Mondeos worth 420 bhp!!! And that car is awesome: You can launch it to 60 from a standstill in 4.6 seconds, (same as new DB9/ Ferrari 360/BMW M6)
This car would DESTROY most luxo-GT cars of the day (aka:Maserati Granturismo/ Maser. GT S) Way to mix up cars, Jeremy!! :) (maybe he did not have an I 6 DB7 that he described in this film)

the Inline 6 version (1997) produces 338 hp and went to 60 in mid/ upper five seconds.
The I6 version was overpriced and underpowered, so they decided to use two ford mondeo engines to create a 420 hp V12 and in 1999 the car was launched
As demonstrated by Clarkson and some other vehicle testers this car could be launched to60 in just 4.6 sec.. That is awesome in 1999,
It can outperform most current GTs and is potentially as fast as BMW M6 (500 hp)

sorry for double posting, but the car was sooo much ahead of its time!!
I consider it the best mid performance GT ever for that: the DB7's performance was easily outdone as time went on, but this, after almost 10 years remains a beauty and a rocket!!
Ask me, the DB7 V12 should be a meterstick for mid-performance GT cars, just like the Porsche Carrera is for sportscars...

OK, explaining the 4th time: Jeremy is talking about the 338BHP (I6) pathetically slow version sitting in the 420BHP version. I am talking about the 420 BHP version while sitting on a wooden chair...
The 420HP (V12 Vantage Version) IS as fast as the BMW ///M6 in a straight line, both cars hit 60 m/h (100k/h) in 4.6 seconds and the quartemile in 13.
On a twisty road, the Aston has the advantage due to the fact that the Aston is 460 kg lighter. The Aston has a better drag coeff. too.
