I always loved that mechanical trance like sound moroder had back then..funny now the track gets played as an "electro" classic in the ungerground dance-clubs......
the track used in the film wasn't as polished as this commercially released version, but that had something to do with the films heavier atmosphere.....

The version you hear at 0.59 is the original "chase" score used in the film.....the more familiar version was substituted when the films soundtrack album and subsequent cd were released.
I have both versions ....the better one is the one moroder used on soundtrack album

The movie was excelent and and with the chase song rolling along and for being thirty years old and to this very day it still sounds years ahead of our time, very futuristic, now this is a song that doesn't wear out, cool tune!
