| I stayed on West Coast of Scotland when Local Hero was shot there-- what a good time. Scenes were shot on Loch Morar where I had a boat, at Arisaig, Lochailort, et al. They hired a friend's beach for the scenes with the old man in the hut-- same beach btw that was used in filming of The Highlander. Lovesd it though when we found out Knopfler had done the theme music. |

| One of my favorite movies of all time, I first saw it as a young kid on t.v. and enjoyed simpleness of it. Plus the soundtrack is incredible also. That is incredible that they rented your friends beach for the ending scene. |
