You guys took the wrong approach to this piece... instead of worrying about the notes and rhythms, you should have focused on the phrasing, shaping the dynamics, balance, style, and just being more expressive. Overall this rendition was too quiet, as it generically stayed around a constant mf-mp range.

Every bit as good as the Loara performance. Dynamics are obviously affected by recording medium. They have good dynamic range. Technically a bit cleaner than Loara, also a bit lighter (?) interpretation. Both are very worthy performances played by outstanding bands.

Give us a break. We spent most of our time on Enigma Variations, and the performances were good enough to get us a top place at All-State performance. And the dynamics sound much better on the actual recording we have
