I'm American, and I came to Rome. I loved it! I certainly didn't look down on anything or anyone. I know people who learned Italian so that they could study in Rome. I never once ate at a McDonalds, and Americans don't eat it often in America. I think just certain Americans stand out, and most aren't like that. It's important to go to the Colosseum and Spanish Steps. Many tourists flock there, like Time Square in New York. I apologize if anyone has been rude or complained.
