A lot of different things could have happened "if" this or that... But that's just it... What's so "arrogant" about being proud of the accomplishments of one's team? Were Lakers fans any less arrogant during the 1980-2005 era when they won more rings than any other team? Did Chicago have any less swagger in it's step during the Jordan era? It's NORMAL to get a little chip on one's shoulder. San Diego often talks about what could have been. Interesting.... most losers do. ;-)

It's my favourite live version of songs from 'All that you can't leave behind'. In my opinion it is even better than 'Elevation'. But it is only my opinion... :)

Same here bro. Beautiful Day and Elevation and Stuck in a Moment were all impressive and awesome, but this song just blew me away. I heard it on the album and thought it was a good song, but live it sounds like it's one of their big anthem songs.

I don't think it's depressing... it's like two songs in one! The echo's of Edge's guitar in the quiet serenade... then it explodes into something completely different. Great songwriting, lyrically and instrumentally.

i love this version so much. the original version on the lp doesn't even compare to this. i think the chord sequence in the bridge & chorus is different on this version. they should have recorded it like this! this is one of the best u2 songs played this way! - I LOVE IT!
