As much as I do miss "the good ole" days, I'm still happy to be in the present. In so many ways things are better with health care, longer lives, quality of life, and more equal opportunity for many people. Sure, the music ain't what it used to be, but there are a few good singers out there. You gotta look out for them.
I do miss Rick Nelson...he was a wonderful performer.

Travelin' Man is one of my all time favorite
songs.Growing up in the 50's and 60's, I was
exposed to the greatest music ever. Rick was
an immense talent who never lost sight of his
identity. Sure wish the oldies like this would
find a home on Atlanta radio. Sure miss Fox 97.1.

I've always had a special bond to Ricky Nelson....we were both "Erics" but were called "Ricky" by our familiy and friends. I'm 55, and my dearest friends and family still call me 'Ricky", especailly my beloved 1970 classmates whom I have had the privilege of Chairing all of our Reunions here in Maryland....once a 'Ricky" always a "Ricky".....and that is okay by me!

What a hot man! My husband is close to the late Ricky Nelson's age:He's 65 and I am 35! All the handsome men are from the old days! There is no one left that can compare to Ricky Nelson's greatness. I think older men are better than having a younger guy for the sake of experience! All hail to Ricky Nelson and all men in that age group! Love from a 35 year old fan!

Ricky and i share the name "Ricky", and we are both actually named "Eric", (although I am younger, 55 now).....my family, and my high school pals , whom I love dearly, still call me Ricky.....when Ricky Nelson died, it crushed me...I felt a part of me died that day as well. When I die, i'm gonna look for Ricky and Bobby Darin, to see if they might need a drummer...after all, my first band was RICKY AND THE REEFERS back in 1966. RIP guys.
