MorituriMax- There is no STANDING WATER ON MARS. There is water ice likely under the crust, collected in ridges. But the solar wind blows most gases off Mars, because the magnetic field can't hold the atmosphere on the "magnetic lines".
Magnetic lines/shells, retain clouds. Clouds make rain. Rain makes standing water. Bad magnetic field, nearly no clouds, no standing water. This is science, not faith. Faith won't find standing water on Mars.

i heard on the news within the last week that it was raining or snowing on mars ,but that the precipitation doesn't quite make it to the surface (becomes gas again) Possible reason, very little atmosphere = little atmospheric pressure means that the boiling point of water is lowered. On earth, the boiling point of water in denver is lower than in new york because of less atmospheric pressure

but on a sidenote, i find it odd that it is now a fait accompli that mars has water. I think a few months ago, a probe determine it to be true and now suddenly they are able to determine that it was raining . Two of these discoveries in a short time. Looks like the shadow government wants to stir up interest in mars in order to finance some missions there. or just to create another slush fund to finance their illegal schemes

Neal my man, you really like to stretch it, that silicates are bad transmitter of heat it true, but along with the silicate are heavy metals. But I think you missed the point, the silicate along with the metals are already hot, liquefied, meaning it is s it is very fluid & can move up and down. When heats up, it goes up in a plume, when it looses heat through the fissures on the crust, it goes down. Causing a motion the pushes the crust.

There are light clouds that evaporate, there is ice at the poles because water is on all planets. Because all planets make all atoms, and gases come to the surface. On Mars they blow into space. On earth, some blow into space, and some stay here. On Jupiter, all gases are captured by the gravity. And when Jupiter gets big enough, it will light up like a sun.
