He had a long meeting with his barrister, Douglas Draycott (one of the most experienced in the Midlands) 4 days before the trial. Draycott told him not to speak in his own defence as medical evidence would have torn his lies to pieces in court. Plus Ram speaks perfect English, he has lived here all his life.
I have a friend who was there that night in the restaurant, she saw the murder.
Satpal Ram claimed he was defending himself using a penknife...
How come the victim's knife wounds were in his BACK and inflicted by a FLICK-KNIFE?
Answer me that one?
I believe my friend, she has no reason to lie as she has no connection with either the killer or the victim. She was unfortunate to be a witness to a brutal murder.
Have you actually read any of the documentation behind this case? I have an interest because my friend was there, I have read case notes, medical reports, witness statements.
It seems all you have read is the literature spread by Ram's campaign.
It's easy to jump to conclusions based upon half a story - try reading the whole story and genuinely making up your own mind.
I told you the reason for my interest in the case. I have a friend who was there. It was also a massive story in my local media at the time.
I'm being serious though, I wish people would actually take time to read facts before diving in head first. An innocent man died and his family and friends were unfairly branded racists due to the lies spread by the Free Satpal Ram campaign.
Racism is going out of 'style' anyways. Pretty soon he's going to be the lowest of all life. He'll have difficulty living a normal life if he keeps acting openly racist.
It is very sad when somebody gets branded a 'racist' for disagreeing with the point of view of an Asian. Or are you just playing the tough guy and throwing insults as you know you have the anonymity the internet provides?
As I've said, my opinions here are based on eyewitness accounts, not media and internet lies.
i am glad he is free now, but who will give those years in prison back to him?
