because a photon ... ( 1 week ago by IamDUFF)
because a photon has no mass, space-time's variation is multiplied by the amount of mass, going back to the simplest terms; Newton
F= M1 M2 d g....
so a photon is at a perfect constant, because of Entanglement, the sticking together of quantum mechanics
and Einstein wasn't ... ( 1 week ago by IamDUFF)
and Einstein wasn't that... brainy, estimations say that he had about 10-11% more neuron connections than an average person
he really just though logically, and obviously, very deep.
If light speed is ... ( 6 days ago by vesivialvy)
If light speed is always the same ,i want to understand something (sorry my bad english!)
what if ; i am in a ship and i move at half speed light in the direction of andromeda and then 1 year after my start a ray of light start from my starting point in the same direction...at the moment the light catch up me i will observe that the light speed will still go to andromeda at the full speed of light from my point of view ,why is the light took 2 years to reach me
...previously sorry ... ( 6 days ago by vesivialvy)
...previously sorry my mistake ...it is why the light took 1 year to reach the point i am after 2 years of travelling...
TIME TRAVEL is ... ( 6 days ago by thepoetwrites)
TIME TRAVEL is possible! Yet, Time travel whether towards the past or the future is best DESCRIBED as viewing a universal kaleidoscope or better yet 'View Master.' For in time travel you are bound as a spectator. Also, time travel, the actual action, is best CLASSIFIED as an elaborate form of suicide, for time travel is a mere ONE WAY street, where once the time traveler returns to their point of origin (AKA their mother's uterus), they miss becoming the fertilized egg and die soon thereafter.

Professor Mallet's ... ( 5 days ago by debunker1905)
Professor Mallet's idea is very interesting, and so is his "Time Machine", but what took him into the project is very stupid even for someone like him (a university physics professor). He said that what brought him into the construction of a Time Machine was to try to travel to the past and talk with his dead father.
Now anyone knows that this is impossible to happen, that's a paradox.

If a real live person were to travel at half the speed of light and slow down in time all that much, would that person's body be able to survive the reduced heart beat, breathing, and all the other bio rhythms? Or can we only survive in the time and space on earth? KENT

I see the problem. Maybe the spinning space would have to be a perfect vacuum, but there is no such thing. KENT

Religion has no use for science. Why would you be studying this?

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it".

It's amazing to me ... ( 2 days ago by frithwks)
It's amazing to me how many people will quote Einstein to try and prove a shallow world view of belief or disbelief in God.
It is worth looking up a collection of his quotes. He is one of the most profound authors for wonderment and imagination I've come across. To take this quote out of context to support a hollow argument is simply disrespectful to his life and his quest for knowledge.
Array ( 1 day ago by pageup213)
wonderment & imagination & you ask us to just believe in your god with no proof just stories? & we are subject to a wild imagination. That is a huge controdiction, why dont we just agree that neither side wants to accept the others view as it means to decimate our own. All i can say is that at least science does not preach to have all the answers & seeks to prove & dissprove itself all that time.

"The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.

So does this mean that a space ship than can travel at the speed of light can still have effective headlights per se?
